I have been alcohol free for over 12 years now. It started because I found out I was pregnant and during those nine months I was able to really look into why I had been drinking. My relationship with alcohol was interesting. I wouldn't classify myself as an alcoholic, but I definitely had an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. After having our daughter, I'd say that was the hardest year of my alcohol free journey. It got easier with every passing year. I had zero support. My husband still drinks and I am around alcohol often - with ZERO desire to have any. I welcome you to come to explore a life without alcohol. Everyone is different and the journey will also vary. Maybe you start by just cutting back on your alcohol consumption. This is a no-judgment, self-paced space you can come to for support as you navigate your way through this new chapter of your life.
